Default Longblock plus ???

After purchasing a longblock, more specifically a b20z, what else is needed to get it in the car and running besides a tranny?

It would help to know what car this is going into before anyone could tell you what other parts you would need. For all we know we could assume you are going to install it into a 1982 Ford Escort...

It doesn't really matter what car it's going into, I just wanted to know what else I would need to make it a complete functioning engine. But say it was going into a '99 civic coupe if that helps?

Uhh, it does matter what car it's going into.

You'll need intake manifold/throttle body, exhaust header, distributor, fuel injectors, fuel rail, tranny, axles, ECU.

Well if it really did matter what car it was going into, why didn't you tell me to get a LS IM, B series axles, and a P75 ECU? The general answer you gave me was exactly what I was looking for though. I appreciate that. But a Longblock should include the Intake manifold, Exhaust manifold, distributor, fuel rail and injectors. So, after the longblock I'll need the tranny, axles and ECU?? is that all?

The actual components don't matter, but things like different OBD type fuel injectors, wiring harness and OBD distributor will determine what you will need.

For example, if you have a 97 hatch, if someone suggested a distributor, that is correct. However, more into detail, you would need a 96-00 distributor (being OBD2), and not an OBD1 distributor.

But, that would be all.

Thanks for helping me out...

The only reason I didnt need to go into much detail is because right now I'm still looking into different setups.
