Default Long block help. Experience needed.

Anyone have any experience in buying just a long block? and then adding the transmission later? And was it cheaper that the entire swap. The reason im leaning toward a long block is its only 900.(b16a2 si motor) And I would be buying new axles, inter shaft, clutch, flywheel, mounts, and LSD tranny anyway, so would this be the best way to save some bucks? or is there more missing from the long block then i know?

it will cost about the same
LSD transmission 7-900
axles and int shaft - 400 (no cores so 150 per axle then int shaft)
clutch and flywheel 300-500 (upgrade over stock)
mounts 200
