Default light flywheel on b16a....

im getting a b16 swap in a few weeks but i was just curious, does a lighter flywheel do as much as i think it does? i know that you accelerate faster, but i am under the impression that you will get a lot more torque and it will fell like the b18c. tell me if im wrong?

I have a JUN Ultra lite on my B18C5 and I love it, had it for about 2 years. My friend has an UL on his B16A and that SOB revs like crazy, it really is a worthwhile investment.

well it won't make it 'feel' like a b18c, but you will notice great response when you get on the throttle. I love lightened f.wheels. I totally suggest getting one even if your motor is stock and unmodified. get one get one get one!

getting your stock f.wheel shaved down to about 12-13lbs is perfect also, if you want to save some $$.

Default some pics

the best way to spend your money, make a huge difference, I say, don't wait and buy it now, makes the car accelerate like crazy
my old combo (ITR shaved to 12.5lbs) (ITR clutch disc)

then went with Toda (complete fw, pp, disc) about 6lbs lighter then before, the difference wasn't huge but in 4-5th gear it was felt

shaved ITR vs Toda

installed the screw could hold 2 more flywheels, they are so thin

ITR shaved

toda

10.5 lb exedy flywheel... your b16 will rev faster than a b18c b/c it's got less rotational mass/inertia. stick witht he b16 man, after the right work you could easily rev to 10k or higher and still be making power safely. the b16 has a perfect rod/stroke ratio... whil ethe b18 is slightly off.

the b16 isn't too heavy for your hb... a lot of people run that setup... just don't forget about your suspension
