Default H22A Type-S or B20VTEC?

Im already planning my next project once I get bored (is that even possible???) with my car once its done. Im stuck between the Accord Type-S engine and a B20VTEC setup in a 5th gen hatch. Anyone have any preference? Let me know what you guys think about this! Thanks!

H22a. Not completely satisfied with the reliability I've seen from the B20Vtecs...... Doesnt seem like the B20 crank was made to spin those RPMs like that. Sure, some people will probably argue a point here. "If its built right it will last!" they say. Well, alot of people apparently havent built them right then. Must be hard to do or something. (or more than the average shop can handle? dunno....)

With the H22 at least you KNOW for a fact it is a stock honda engine and will be pretty reliable.

You also get the nice advantage of more torque

building a B20vtec properly is a lot of money, so few guys actually do it.
H22A all the way.

Over here in Asia, we just use B20 bottom block.. no more no less.. the rest of the component are from either B18C or B16a, that inclues tranny

210hp at wheel is what normally we get

I am not positive but I think the h22 weighs in about 60-80 pounds heavier than the B20vtec depending on which head is on the b20

I would have to be on the B20Vtec side. H22 is too much trouble. Not enough aftermarket support... too much money in the end..777

Yep.. check out my b20/vtec dyno, that should convince you. 9000 rpms daily driven for 17000+ miles now, no probs.
