Default Lets play what is this part?

Any of you guys know what this part is? I didnt come accross it when I was tearing down my old motor, but when I got my rebuilt core back along with the parts was this dealy, what is it? and where does it go.. h23a1 USDM btw.

it goes in the deck of your block they take them out when they deck them. It goes in the middle top intake side. there should be a hole that goes right down to the where the oil filter goes

It's the oil control orifice. Fits in the block between the head. You NEED it there.

got it, thanks guys... Funny that in the tech book for Honda it specifies not to replace it..? But by that point i'd already bolted the head on.
