K20a Type-r anyone know about my specific motor??
No not the specs but the one that I own, I am new to this website and I thought I would see if anyone knows about my k20a I purchased.
Since I have bought my motor I have heard from many people that this k20a came out of an integra that was built by T1 Racing Development in Texas. Ive been told it was pushing anywhere from 40-50 lbs of boost and 800-1000hp. Now this motor was set up for a turbo because the oil pan was tapped and there was an oil feed line for the turbo although I am using it as an all motor setup in my rsx. another visual feature that may help is that on the rear of the valve cover there is a gold vinyl laid out which I am guessing was used as a heat shield for the turbo and also it was not a wrinkle red paint job, it was painted black. I am going to check the compression but I don't have the time to take apart this motor to see what is done to it so I am seeing if anyone may have heard about this motor from T1RD. I was told it came here from Texas about 3 years ago and that whatever car this was in, this motor was also featured in a magazine. maybe that could narrow it down.
Im trying to figure out what color and year the Integra was but if with this info someone may know something about this car/motor that would be awesome! And if not sorry for wasting your time, I just know this is a very popular website!
This was before I cleaned it up.
And this is after I got it home and cleaned her up
