JDM G1 B16A Into EF HELP :(
hey guys, im new here, but im having problems putting my JDM B16A into my EF...its a 1st gen so its cable like my car...im having difficulties with the clutch cable, and i've even tried an integra cable but same problem...when i get it all bolted up and in place, there is absolutley no play in the pedal, or on the arm on the tranny its self...it feels as if the throw bearing is always touching the pressure plate, which im assuming is not good? BTW the cable is adjusted all the way up and still same thing. Running a Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch (yea yea i know)...all the wiring and mounting of the motor is done, it looks great, im just iffy about going for the first start with this clutch cable being so tight. I dont want to have to rip it apart agian and change clutches or anything like that, im moving to Edmonton at the end of the month and i dont have time to search for another clutch (also ligned directly up with an RPS clutch at a performance shop in richmond, and they say its the right one)...some one PLS help!!

i had a similar problem with 1st gen b16 in my 88hf. stock was too short of course but so was 89 integra. take the cable off and cut some of the cable housing. its under the black covering. looks like conduit. basically a metal coiled around the cable, just trim some off and test it out. be careful not to cut the actual cable and only cut small bits at a time. time consuming but it works.
