Icon2 JDM b18c GSR swap into 94-95 or 96-97 civic

ok so here's the scenario.. im going to buy a 35k jdm b18c (gsr) engine that comes with everything including all the sensors. i want to get either a 94-95 civic ex or a 96-97 civic ex. so i called up a mechanic shop i use and asked for an estimate. they said it usually takes around 10 hours to do a regular swap for a 95 civic. but he said that since its a different engine, they might need other components for the engine to be compatible. which he said would take more hours to try and find that information. i'd like to save some money and find the info myself.. get any other necessary parts i need (i've heard ill be needing a few 99-00 si parts) so that i can just tell him exactly what to do/put in it so i can save him time, therefore saving me money. so my question is i need to know every single thing i can use out of the civic, replace with the jdm part, or what parts i need to get from somewhere else so that the engine will become compatible. thanks.

btw here is the link the site from where i am buying said engine

p.s., is the extra 350 for the lsd tranny worth it? i am planning on modding this car.

10 HOURS!!!! Find another shop and fast. Any competent shop with all parts on hand should be able to do it in under 3-5 (depends if they are doing belts, seals, fluids, etc) unless they are dragging their feet. Now shop time may show 10 hours so I can't argue with that. Where do you live first off? Plus you need to decide which model you are going to buy because things will vary between 94-95 and 96-97 including mounts, wiring, etc. Hmotors is an excellent place to get an engine so that's a great start. Either model you'll at least need the following (* items should come with the swap):

engine*
transmission*
ECU*
axles*
mounts* (96-97 will need additional rear T bracket from 99-00 SI and timing belt block mount from 99-00 SI that don't come with it)
shift linkage*
wiring (94-95 will need knock and IAB's wired up, 96-97 will need IAB's wired)
-also depending on what model car you get and what OBD engine you get you'll want to match them (94-95 Civic will want the 94-95 B18C, 96-97 will need the 96-97 B18C)
-if you use the 96-97 engine you'll need to bypass the CKF by the crank
-the JDM engine won't come with a VTEC pressure switch if OBD2 so if you use the OBD2 USDM ECU you'll have to bypass it or reuse the one from your EX
-the rest on both models should plug and play

im in phoenix/glendale az (right on the boarder of glendale)

and to be honest, i know some stuff about engines and hondas. but i dont know enough to be able to just understand everything you're saying xD. i wont ask you to explain it to me. but i just need to know what i should say to a mechanic when i tell him what parts need to be put in for compatibility.

and so the only things that will need changing is the wiring, mounts, and the vtec pressure crank?

If you have to tell your mechanic this and they don't already know it then you obviously need to go to a different shop that KNOWS this. Any shop that does swaps regularly should be telling you exactly what's needed not the other way around. Go to the regional forums for your area in here and ask around for reputable shops in your area.
