JDM B18B Compression Numbers
I have searched on several forums and so far have only found a couple videos of dry compression tests done to JDM B18Bs. I am really trying to find out the nominal/min/ max difference specs for a proper compression test on this motor.
I am sure it is pretty close to the USDM setting as it is 9.4 compression ratio vs the US spec 9.2. If anyone could chime in on what psi should be expected/their results of a hot, full throttle, plugs out & no fuel compression test on one of these motors that would be great since if the test comes back on the low side I will be sending it back.
Thanks for any help!

Re: JDM B18B Compression Numbers
Actual numbers will vary between compression testers, it's the difference between cylinders that matters. They should be within 5-10psi of each other. 0.2 points of compression will not affect much at all, not test numbers nor power.

Re: JDM B18B Compression Numbers
So I finally got the engine in and running and an happy to report the results were 170, 170, 165, 170.
The company I bought it from claimed it had 67000km on in which I always take with a grain of salt. Regardless it seems like a healthy motor and I will post leak down results soon.
