jdm b16a SiR-II swap into 99 EK ... alternator wiring problem.....Any other info would be greatly ap
I have a 99 EX and I ordered a complete SiR-II swap from hmotors. I got the motor in and used the Hasport mounts (which are very nice) and I have the rear mount from my buddy's Si and I have the jumper for the ecu........Now the issues..What to do with the distributor, my harness has 8 wires and the one one the motor only has 7..... The alternator plugs are different on the ODB1 alternator and my wirirng harness...Splicing the wires is more than likely the only way to get it to work...Wondering if anyone has done thiis b4 and knows what wires splice into the others. If you have doen this swap, please tell me if there is any other problems that I might encounter.

Re: (zm_dawg)
Yes...7 wires on the distributor and 8 on my harness. no wires were cut, it is supposed to be like that (so I assume). On the harness that came with the motor, it only has the 7 wires?????
