Default ITR ecu problem

My roommate has a 92 CX that we put a 98 JDM ITR swap into. He got the swap from Hondamotors Online and they gave him a 92-95 P30 ecu from a sir2. The car does seem like its as fast as it should be. Wouldn't the P30 ecu only supply enought fuel from a 170hp b16 and not enough for a 210hp jdm itr let alone the proper timing? He was told that the P30 has the same fuel/timing map as a ITR but I don't see how thats possiable if they both use 240cc injectors and the 2 motors make 40 hp different. Where can we get a stock itr program chipped into the P30?

the reason the motor has 40 more hp is because its .2l bigger and has more agressive cams.
dont worry steve is a good guy, let the motor break in a little and see what it feels like. as for the same program, im not sure. they have the same head (basically) and injectors so i dont see that there would be TOO much of a diffrence

The ITR motor also backfires inbetween shifts when on the throttle hard. Since it does this, it leads me to believe I am running lean because the p30's fuel map is not correct for the ITR. Can anyone verify this? Is the p30s fuel map supplying enough fuel?

Might want to get a programmed P28 or P30. Mugen program runs richer. Good luck.

you're right no there is not enough fuel from P30, it does tend to run rather lean on the ITR, there are few fixes:
chip it or get a adjustable fuel pressure regulator or VAFC

closest thing to an ITR maps is Spoon program, which will allow you to rev a little higher

also on the topic of ITR the JDM version only makes 198hp (200ps) regardless of the specs (96 or 98SpecR)
