idle and redline problem
hey guys, I'm having a few problems with my h22 swap, wierd and never happeend to me before..
1st problem. When driving normally and going into neutral, your RPM's are supposed to drop to idle rate. Mine sometimes will sit at 1.5k to 2k for a good amount of time and then drop to 700+
2nd problem. I've got CEL code 21 which is vtec solenoid, now i'm not sure if this is causing my 6500 redline or not, but I'm guess it is. What kind of troubleshooting should i be looking into?
Thanks

i think this has everything u need to check.
(one thing not listed till later on the 2nd page. make sure its grounded properly)
my ground wire broke off inside my harness.. took me forever to figure it out.

Re: idle and redline problem (hondaZvic)
thanks I'll try that man.
I've noticed that I can get vtec and go pass 6500 in the morning after i've ran it till operating temperatures. But once it gets to noon and on where it is 100+ degress outside and then i go and drive it, my 6500 redline comes back. Could it be the solenoid just going crazy?

sounds like a bad wire to me... prolly shorting out somewhere.. wires can do that, when it gets super hot, it can spaz out sometimes if its not connected properly.
