Default HX to turbo D16

Now that I got pimped again, I was wondering what you guys thought about this idea. I have a 00 civic hx. I'm looking now to just do a turbo setup instead of a swap. Whats it gonna take to swap from an HX to say an EX, (or something even better.) If I have about 1400 bucks to play with. My motor has 94,000 miles on it. What do you guys think I should do.

no way is a b20 setup going to run under 1400.

b20 longblock- 600-800
hydro tranny- 500-1500 or more
mounts, shift linkage, etc....

all equal to tooo much. Going to run you about 2k i guess

save some more money if going with b20. Last thing you want is to start a project and run out of cash.

i dont think even 1400 is enough to boost a d16z unless you have custom setup.

Well I just bought a used apexi turbo kit, with everything needed other than a fuel system setup, fmic, and BOV for 1250.

I bought a set of 450 blue top dsm injectors with clips and resistors for 70
SAFC for 150
A tyrus 30x6x2 FMIC for 225
Only thing I need is a BOV, and I'm game

I was reading about the AFC hack, which seems to be nothing more than just setting the AFC at -40% in high and low settings. Tell me what you guys think. Also I was wondering if there are other turbo'd HX's out there. Let me know, and help me out any way you can. THanks
