HELP: Type S tranny.... How to tell?????
Ok im going to be looking at a tranny tonight and its suppose to be a typeS LSD tranny. How can i tell IF in fact it is an actual type S other than the little code? I really dont want to get screwed on this deal.......
BTW is there any way to tell if it has LSD and if its stock?
Thanks for the help in advance!!

first off the type-s doesnt have LSD
it is an ATTS tranny.
the code on it will be m2u4 i beleive.
you will be able to see straight through the axle hole, but the driver side hole will look odd and will not accept a standard halfshaft

Yes, type-s does have ATTS, but there is two verisons. One with ATTS, and one with LSD. Jason Kidd has a complete type-s swap with LSD.
