Default help pistons or cams???

i got 500 bucks to spend on my ls vtec. i got these jdm pr3 pistons for 40 bucks from a friend and still in good condition. and i saw some usdm itr pistons in honda tech ad i think it was about 320 for everything. should i buy some ctr cams and used the jdm pr3 pistons or just buy the usdm itr pistons (or) get the ctr cams and put in the jdm pr3 pistons. im looking for high compression. i looked at the dome of a pr3 and it is higher than the one on the usdm. is that a difference also? can i used 92 octan with these pistons? help cant make up mind.

Not as hard to ad cams later with them being on top end.Worse to do the reverse. But you might get more power $ for $ if that was all you wre going to do to go with cams....

well the reason y i got these jdm pr3 because i drove one of my friends lsvtec ride and dang it pulls. i dont know of usdm itr pistons will do the same since it has the same c/r as gsr. and you know jdm b16a pr3 pistons are a higher compression than gsr.

Tom at http://www.portflow.com will be able to tell you the exact CR on that hookup. Prob not good to approach 12:1 or above with street pump gas (despite what Endyn/Larry say)...
