I have some b16 pistons and I dont know if they are jdm or u.s, is there any way of telling? I know one will have a little higher dome but I dont have a U.S. set to compare to, help would be greatly apreciate it.
All US B16A's had PR3 pistons, some JDM B16A's had PR3 pistons and some had P30 pistons. There is no difference between a US and JDM PR3 piston.
Also, are you willing to sell the pistons?

kendall, will i be alright running pr3 pistons on a ls block... the motor is a NA lsvtec and i want to run about a 11:5 CR.. is this ok on pump gas (91)?
i do plan on reving fairly high with a built bottem end... so i do plan on getting agressive cams as well to go with the high CR. thanks!

actually, us pr3/p30 slugs have a dome height of 6.01 where jdm ones have a dome of 6.93, that wasnt the question, they ARE different I just want to know how you tell which is which without having the two sitting next to each other.

you'll be just fine on 91 octane with 11.5:1, just run a knock sensor, Ive heard the ringlands on b16 pistons dont like detonation at all haha, with my setup ill be running around 12.5:1 on 92 octane so we'll see!
