Help with oil/ tranny fluid for my swap!
I just bought the B16A (SiR2) motor and for my 1992 Civic HB and now I am buying redline oil/ tranny fluid. JUst making sure I use 10w30, right? Which tranny fluid do I use for the Hydrolic Tranny (S21, Y21), is it AFT or D4 AFT or MT-90 or MTL? Thanks.

Egg-axtly. I used to use Redline MTL but after awhile, the shifting always began to feel more rough, especially in higher rpms. Since then, I've always been using Honda MTL and it's always been smooth sailing from there, and that's on both LSD and non-LSD trannys.

Egg-axtly. I used to use Redline MTL but after awhile, the shifting always began to feel more rough, especially in higher rpms. Since then, I've always been using Honda MTL and it's always been smooth sailing from there, and that's on both LSD and non-LSD trannys.

hmmm that's the opposite for me when I switched form oem mtf to redline mtl. but either way honda mtf or redline mtl will do you good. I've drivin for 40,000 miles each on oem mtf and then redline mtl and no problems. to me the redline mtl lets me shift smoother IMO. just my .02

im using redline MTL on my b16 works great shifts smooth and it is 10w30
