I was wondering what kind of engine you guys recommended I throw in my 1999 Honda civic EX 1.6. It has decent speed. I threw on a header, exhaust, cool air intake, high performance clutch/flywheel, some AEM pulleys and a 55 shot of zex's fail proof nitrous system on it. I need more power. I have the power with the nitrous that I want but without it I get smoked. I want to be fast and know that I can take a GSR or whatever if I wanted to. help! please post ideas or whatever. Maybe I don't need an engine swap. I will do whatever to my engine now if I can get it to run fast. I'm new at this so any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated guys. Thanks a lot!

well since its an EX there heavy (i have one...i know) i would say a b18c1 (GSR) or a b20 (vtec or nonvtec. vtec will cost alot more but make ALOT more power)

 

so if I threw the b20 in it would lighten my load and produce more horsepower ?

 

If you want to stay with sohc go with Apexi ball bearing kit we but one on my friend and he ran a 14.2 on 9 pounds

Ive seen high 12s run with your car and an FMAX kit on 11 psi.
