helm reset not working
whats up with my code 23? i know my vtec is engageing(sp?) but i still get a code 23...it doesnt want to reset i think...anyone know a better way to reset, other than pulling the fuse(7.5) like the helm book says????

If you unhook your negative battery cable, that will clear everything out for sure. Just keep in mind that it will also wipe out your radio presets and such, so if you have a newer factory radio you will need the code. If you keep reseting the ecu and still get the code, you might have a problem, even though everything seems like its working fine.

you are resetting the ecu correctly but your getting code 23 because it's your knock sensor. get it hooked up, reset the ecu and you should be fine...

thanks rioninja, ill try that out. hey blaze, keep in mind that my vtec is working cuz it is hooked up, it just keeps throwing me that code.

code 23 means you got a problem with your ks. your vtec will always engage even if the knock sensor isn't hooked up... the knock sensor isn't needed for vtec to work. get your knock wired and the code will go away. if it doesn't, make sure the sensor is working properly. hth

thanks for all the help fella's, i havent solved the problem yet, i'm just waiting on a better way to wire it useing another pin(the female end in the main) from another wiring harness. got to find one first......hmmmmmmmm.........
