Default HEEELP

i have a b16 swap and its been running decent for a few months now, i just havent had vtec due to faulty vtec selonoid. well i just got a new one in the mail so i put it on, everything is right...i mean its an easy thing to do. I started my car after swapping them out, and now my idle is really fucked so i drove it up the block to see how it ran and on the way back there seems to be loud clicking noise, i let it run for a minute and looked under the hood the clicking sounds like it may be coming from my injectors. the idle is starting to scare me. i dont wanna screw anything else up.

what the hell could be the problem?

To be honest, I'm not really certain why Injectors would start clicking; however, for a bad idle I would check your timing, check your plugs to see if you are running too rich or too lean. May also want to reset your ecu. I find it difficult to understand how your symptoms could be related to changing the Vtec solenoid so you may want to put your old one back in to see if they persist.

thats why im so ******* confused.

i did put the old one back on and the symptoms didnt go away. but they damn sure werent there to begin with.

Yeah i understand your frustration and of course neither you nor I can figure out how it was changed but, the symptoms are there none the less. Gotta just buckle down and figure it out

the vtec solenoid has nothing to do with idle... rpms and speed yes, but idle no.

u say ur idle is messed up.. exactly what is it doing?? is it lobing up and down? or did it just drop and stay low like 500 or less? how is it messed up?

it starts up, and bounces horribly up and down from 200 to to 600 rpms. shutters like its going to shut off. then after a second it starts doing it so roughly that the motor starts jerking and it sounds like theres a clicking noise coming from the injectors?
