Default header heat shield: necessary?

I wouldnt have even asked the question if i hadn't seen so many pics of peoples' engine bays with h22 swapped into 92-95 civic/del slo, with the heat shield in place.

btw i got h22 in a 92 vx.

You don't need it, but it might help a little to keep the header temp down.

It's not necessary...but it looks cleaner. If you want a rusty iron exhaust manifold showing, that's your choice
