Default H2B What slicks, what psi to run at track? HELP!!!

i drive the car currently on Mickey thompson ET 2 ST Radial 215/60/14s.

Car seems to dead hook on the street no lift shifting to second gear.. first gear from a dig not so much but i havent heated them up or anything.

im just wondering if i will have more traction issues at the track vs the street

on street launching at 3500rpm theres minimal spin but when i bring it up to 5k and launch its alot of spin.

i dont think i will be launching at no 3500rpm at the track in fact i was guessing it will be way higher after watching film people are fearly close to redline.

im runing Neptune RTP so im not manually launching just curious if i should just play with it when i get to the track.

also what psi are people running on these ET 2 STREET RADIALS? IM RUNING THEM AT 20PSI COLD ON THE STREET....

Car is making mid 220whp and 160wtq on a mustang dyno with some more tuning coming i expect to see mid 230s/170s by race day

Thanks in advance!

You need to play around with psi and launch rpms at the track to find out what works for you. It will always be different based on track conditions and weather.

with your setup i would try 8-12 psi and im guessing your rpm launch would be 3-5k with these tires at the suggested psi. with my b20vtec making power in the high 180 to low 190 hp range i used hoosier r6 185/60/13 radials on vx wheels 12psi launching at 3k with no 2step set and i was getting 2.0 60fts.

sweet this gives me an idea. decided to tune her on e85 and also go with a 100 wet shot . Been excited to hit the track but they keep canceling Test N Tune days due to weather
