ive noticed alot of ppl are using gsr tranny's with h2b. well why not run a b16 trans. since it would be geared lower it would pull pretty good.?? or at least this is my theory. anyone else have any thoughts about running h22 with b16 trans. your top end will be cut out by alot more than likely

yes sir, you wont have much top end but you will have acceleration out the ***.

 

so then what would be the advantage of running the gsr trans? from the b16 if your giong to the track. you will still have decent rolls

 

feels like i'm in 4th for 10 minutes with a b16 tranny, 1-2-3 go by pretty fast

 

so would you suggest the b16 tranny? or go for a gsr or ls

 

ill be running a gsr but i will dd my car and its a boosted and built h22, h24...

 

im giong to be running all motor looking around 230whp. and im tryin to find a tranny were i will have good pull low end but still have decent top end but im not to worried about it. i think a b16 would cut my top end out at about 130

 

probably, get a jdm type r with lsd.

 

you shouldnt top out at 130mph, you can spin an h till 9k-9500 and if your building a 230whp all motor car, your gonna still make power.

 

im still debating on what trans to go with. b16 or gsr

 

i have a semi built b16 trans in my h2b eg and the **** moves out hard...

if your stayin n/a go with the b16..if your goin to boost it Gsr...

but either way put an lsd in that bitch.

just to let you know that link doesnt work, and by the way found it in another forum, even if that evo didnt have 5 ppl in it, still woulda beat it. Go check out the post in h22 Q's on pg 248...turbo toys have arived
