Re: H2B PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!! (2fast4u831)
2fast4u831, how do you have your alternator setup and have you had any problems with it? also, what did you do about your crank and balance shaft pulley clearance? I will be daily driving my h2b swap too, and these two areas concern me the most.

Re: H2B PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!! (gibsanez)
in my ek i left the alernator in the stock location just used a smaller d series pulley and belt and it clearned maybe 1/8 of an inch. i also left the balancer shafts alone and it has no problem clearing the frame. its an f20b so i have a smaller uni pulley type deal also. hope that helps

The bracket broke when I took the engine out so I will be making my own alternator bracket. I removed the balance shaft gears(balance shafts are still in place) and moved my crank pulley 1/2" to the passenger side. I did a small write-up on the H2B FAQ thread I also drove my car without timing covers. no banging on the frame either

Re: H2B PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!! (97SiR)
Back from the dead I see!
Anyways, a guy local to myself had trouble with the threads in the alum. plate because he had his engine/trans apart several times, and eventually stripped a couple threads.
He just made himself a new plate out of steel using the old alum. one as a template. Just be careful with the threads and you'll be fine.
