so i just finished my swap... my vss is not working so i know vtec will not engage.. but when i try to drive it when i get to 5k where vtec kicks in it starts to sputter like crazy then after it just pulls real good!! what could the problem be???

also my idle seems way off but if i take a nipple off the intake manifold the idle holds great snd doesn't want to stall out! when i put it back on i give it a shot of gas and it stalls out!!

any help would be awesome!!

How does your car idle?

 

make sure ur vtec filter is clean, that has happened to me. check your distributor.

like ^^^ said it does matter how ur car is idling if its going up & down just bouncing around. check your ivc.

 

the idle is very low.. it bounces a lil i cleaned the tb and iac valve.... but like i said i take off a blocking nipple on the manifold and it idles great...then if i block it back off the car stalls out!

 

leave the nipple off....take it to get tuned...problem will be fixed
