only if you want to cut the **** out of your frame rail. Spend the$75 on the bracket and run a lighter/smaller SOHC alternator.

Give us a call and I will get you a new one if there is a defect. Every alternator kit is checked quite a few times in the process. They are difficult to make and like every product we do is Hand Made so one or two out of a hundred might be off very slightly. I will take that percentage any day. Most of the time the alteration to get them to line perfectly is lil and can be as simple as using a ruler and a rubber mallet.

I learn from you guys and sometimes with you guys in trial and error. 88-91 D series alternators are very plentiful. I have since recommended only using 88-91 D series atlernators 3 ribbed belt and pulley. 92+ use a 4 ribbed pulley and belt that Bense brought to my attention...I have personally used on my H22 Crx our D series upper kit with 88-91 D alt. with no issues for over 2 years now...
