Default H23 Vtec?

I did try searching, but search function seems to be down.

I imagine it would be similar to the LSVtec\B20Vtec, has anyone done this with the H series motors?

If so how did it turn out?

As another alternative to doing just the head swap, will the crank, rods and pistons from the H23 fit into the H22 bottom end?

Guess thats it for now.

Thanks.

EDIT: Search function back, found what I was looking for.

numerous of people have done h23/vtecs and im currently gathering parts for this hybrid myself...h series you dont have to run an external oil line, just take the plug out from the block.....you can also use crank, rods, and pistons in the h22 bottom end.

is it better to use the h22a bottom end stuff or is it just the same to use the h23 bottom end stuff if it is fine if there is no power diffrence i don't see a need to mess with it. Isn't the compression lower on the 2.3 , i don't see how a usdm h23 bottom is going to be faster than a jdm h22 bottom anyone want to explain? i blew my bottom end so i am either going to doa frankenstein or just get another h22a bottom, i don't know much about the swap, what kind of complications can come along with it. if someone could just clue me in on some stuff id appreciate it Thanks

h23/vtec will have maybe a little more bottom end...nothing of a day and night differnce, but in numbers it should prove to be a little torquier.....but h23's are more pronable to spinning bearing, so if you are gonna do this frankensteing, i wouldnt advise revving anything over 7,200..
