Stroked H22 with H23 parts or H23 with VTEC head?

Stroked H22 with H23 parts or H23 with VTEC head?
Browsing the web considering my potential build, it seems like a lot more people put the h23 crank and rods into the h22 than run the complete h23 bottom end with h22 head. Just wondering if there was any difference there? Appearantly the blocks are identical according to my Google searching. For argument purposes let's assume both blocks are closed deck. And please don't just give an opinion of which you think is better and put FTW without giving any details

Difference, aside from the rotating assembly, is the addition of oil squirters. It can be added to the H23A1 block since it's the same exact block.

In regards to the oil squirters, just leave them out, and if using an H22 block, pull and usel the plug from the H23 that the crank and rods come from... and between that and deleting balance shafts, you give the crank a good boost in oiling from stock.
The H22 pistons on the H23 crank and rods are giving you more compression than the H23 pistons, which is good. The downside is that they do stick out the bore .020, so you have to be careful with anything cam related.
If you are using stock parts, from a good engine, then you can use known good pistons in the same hole they started in, and the crank and rods are getting new bearings to ensure clearances are good there. Just an easy way to keep good P2W clearances in my opinion. That is why I would use the H22 block and pistons, and H23 crank and rods, personally. That is how and why I built my engine that way.
If you have to do machining, or are sleeving a block, then I would go with the H23 block to keep the mains matched to the crank as best possible.

Thank you for making that clear. Now that the main question is answered you brought something else to mind. What kind of p2v issues would I have using the type s pistons or the mahle golds. I have a new set of the mahle golds so I would prefer to use those. Would that setup even be possible on a factory head gasket? I'm currently running crower cams
