H23 head on a F22 block Please help I am desperate and generous $$
I have a 92 Prelude Si with a H23 motor. I busted the crank and trashed the block. No replacement block was readily available in my area. I found a F22 block that was in good shape and was told the head would bolt right on. After doing all the machine work needed I did indeed bolt the head right on. The problem is the timing belt for the H23 does not fit. It is about 1/4" short. I believe the water pump and tensioner pulley are in a slightly different position causing the belt to be short. I have gone to the catalogs and checked specs for a similar belt and can't find one that works. The best idea so far is to have one custom made and that is not a good idea. I know someone must have done this swap before. Please help in any way you can. I am desperate and will do something very nice for the person who can help me.
