h22a4 into EK -- What Distributor To Use??
hey im doing a 00' h22a4 into my 99 civic using a conversion harness to obd1 and p13 ecu. What distributer should I use? the 00' h22 distributer is external coil, should I look for an obd1 usdm or jdm h22 distributer? will one from an h23 work etc? thanks in advance.

i have the EXACT same thing as u. and i was using the 00 usdm ext. coil obd2 dizzy with a conv harness and a jdm p13. worked good.
but i wanted to get rid of the external coil.
so..
i just finished changing it over to a jdm internal coil, obd1 dizzy. works good too.
and i wouldnt reccommend one from an h23, it may work, but im not sure, from everything i've checked, its best to go with one designed for the h22.
if u need more help lemme know.

i didnt know this. cool.
the usdm ext coil dizzy was the only one i had. so i used it and made it work. (had to rewire the engine harness, and modify the mounting bracket on the dizzy, had to make the holes in to slots so that i could turn the dizzy for timing.) but then from taking it apart so many times, i ruined the oil seal inside it, and the dizzy had oil leaking out of it.
plus i think the engine bay looks cleaner with out the ext. coil.
so i got the jdm dizzy.
now it looks good, works good, and is adjustable for timing.
im working on write up that i will post soon, with some good pix too.
