Default h22a swap help

scenario: I have a h22a swap in an 94 EX coupe. reused the EX harness. basically everything hooked up. thing is, when I turn the key to the on position, all I get is the SRS light and hand brake light on(when the ebrake is up). can't hear the main relay click on. I know the MIL and other lights are supposed to come on for a few secs and turn off but it's not happening. I put a new battery in, triple checked all the fuses. backup fuse, ECU fuse, etc are all good.

I'm thinking this might be a grounding issue. thing is, I only have the thermostat ground on at this point. what other grounds am I missing? anything else I'm overlooking? TIA!

I would make sure the chassis ground is on first before the thermostat ground (although that is important too) - personally I think that the chassis/body number one priority ground - alot of stuff rely on a chassis ground. Try running a good size wire from the battery negative to a bolt on the chassis near the battery, etc...

U need the valve cover/head ground, thermostat, starter ground, and ecu ground. U need all these grounds for the car to start and run properly.

Starter ground is on the starter, obviously, but more specifically it should come out of the wiring harness and slide and lock onto a small altch on the starter, if ur wiring harness doens't have it u might have to wire it up seperately, but look on the starter and u'll see what i mean and where it is. The ecu ground is a small ground that goes from the wiring harness onto the bottom of the throttle body, if ur harness doesn't have it u might have to wire it up seperately too.

stupid me, it was the grounds. I guess I was rushing things a lil too much. but anyways, I put on the valve cover ground and the tranny ground and everything started right up.
