Default h22a Ek header clearance under the car?

hey all you h22 civic guys, how's the header clearance under the car? does it hang low? how does it compare to a b18 motor/header? I know I would kill myself if I dented a $1000 header. Only plan to lower the car about 1.5".

My header is pretty low to the ground even with about 1.5 inch drop. I just scraped the headers hard last weekend, and flatten the headers a tad.

my hotshot header is like 2 inches off the ground and my car is not even drop that much, just enough to fill up the gap between the fender and wheel. If you look at it in the front you can see my header hanging.

Mine hangs pretty low. But I haven't had any issues with scraping the oil pan or the header b pipe. I'm also slammed about 2 3/4" to 3" as well.

I guess I just know how to drive around slammed cars lol

what kind of header, 4-1 or 4-2-1 are u guys using? Will 4-2-1 alleviate the problem slightly?

Mines 4-2-1. You just have to know how to drive a lowered car.

I also have the factory 4-2-1 H22 header. I also have an EG so the EK engine bay is slightly taller and wider.

Just like junglerunna said, just have to be paranoid and know how to drive a lowered car, making sure you won't ground it out.

Bingo. Pot hole-ridden roads in upstate NY: 1
Civic H22: 0

I have dented my oil pan AND my downpipe. That was with the skunk2's though. It was slammed then. now i'm riding on Neuspeed sports with AGX's. I like the ride so much better and I don't dent stuff.

this is a serious problem then, so I come back to my original question for those of you with the experience: how does the clearance compare between a b18 vs. H22 in a civic?

Im pretty sure the header clearance can not be significantly different. Either way driving with caution is a must.

Especially with a lowered car.
