Default H22A or B18C5 in an EG?

My roommate recently got rid of his EF with a B18A and is picking up an EG at a local auction. He's debating betwwen a H22A or a B18C5 swap just for a fast daily driver. I've seen both swaps in Civics and they're both fast but I've heard horror stories regarding clearance problems and other 2.2 powered EG's running like ****.
I value torque, so naturually I would prefer the H22A but I don't want to run into future problems. Not to mention the 2500.00 difference between the two motors. Thanx

there's millions of threads especially with the c5 versus the h22a.

I just searched for H22A in just the EG forum for recent topics and came up with 4 pages. Please use it

c5 is a lot more money though
H22 = better bang for the buck

ha, ironically in one of those 4 pages of threads there is a breakdown by a couple of H22 civic users and they ended up having spent more on their H22 than a C5 would have cost. so u might want to rethink a few things.

All depends on what deals you'll find to.

Less hassell and problems, especially for a daily driver, not to mention it being easier, and faster by about 0.5 seconds on the 1/4......

......B18C5.

B18C5-EH2 (Civic/Del Sol Forum) here on HT can tell you everything about it, he seems to love doing so too.

C'mon guys let this damn thread end because it's gonna just keep going and going just like the last time. Search would solve this guys' problem. Stop debating on something that is going to get you in same place as some of the H-T members that did this same **** you are doing right now. I think it's cool that you want to help this guy but this is something that he can do on his own.

Both setups are cool, both setups have a lot of potential, and both setups get the when the hood is popped. One main is that there's more worked involved with the H22 swap, but depending on what car each motor is going into, and what you wanted out of the car (daily driver vs. race car), then it all depends.
