Can someone give a list of some good salvageyards that a bunch of engines...im trying to find the right h22 for the right price....I dont wanna order it for someone unless i have too...

and there is no 'best' usdm h22 other than I would stick with the same OBD that your car is.

 

Good luck trying to find one in a salvage yard (there isnt any where I live). In your case the "best year h22" might depend, but I would definitely say newer = better

Would a 91 accord h22 fit in a 92 Civic Cx?

 

H22 never came in a Accord. It only ever came in a Prelude in the US.

 

Get a 92-95 H22. These motors have the closed deck design which makes for a stronger block. Also i would recomend grabing one from http://www.hmotorsonline.com/ if you wanta jdm motor or http://www.importautosalvage.com/ for a clean usdm swap.

Did it really? In what country was this? I'm just curious. If you mean in the ex-r in Japan, Europe, or Canada, then that would be somewhere other than the US just as someone already said. The only US vehicles that the H22 came in was the prelude.

H22ekTIM drives his everyday. i have driven it a few times and it drives REALLY nice!! like a normal civic until you get on it!! Then it is just all business!!! The LSD really helps!! If you can find that tranny GET IT!!

 

look in the Chiltons, the EX-R is the canadian version of the us EX. ask around the Accord forum.
