h22 wiring newbie
Ok so Im cramming the H22 from my wrecked 2000 lude into a 92 VX hatch. I have an entire wrecked prelude to take parts from. Im in the process of modifiying the civic harness to fit the H22, and I have run into a basic problem. The civic wiring wont go into the lude ECU due to differently shaped connectors. Can I just cut off the connectors from the lude wiring and stick the civic wires in them? I have both shop manuals so I have pinouts and diagrams telling me what each wire does... Seems like a stupid problem to me, and I want to avoid soldering under the dashboard for hours. Is there a simpler solution? I would at least like to be able to solder indoors. thanks

ya. you are going to have to convert to obd1 or obd2 depending on which one you want to go with.
For wiring:
You can you use your stock VX harness on the h22a motor.
All the plugs are the harness are the same, and the harness will obviously plug up to the firewall since it's the stock harness.
You will have to add Knock sensor, and convert to 4 wire o2 sensor though.
VTEC and EGR is already there, so those are out of the way.
Knock sensor you will have to add to the harness (it's mounted at the rear of the h22) will have to go to the D3 pin-out.
for 4 wire o2 sensor:
add 3 wires to O2 sensor and follow o2 wires and change to Prelude O2 sensor connector. Wht goes to Wht then goes to D14 (O2 pin-out)
Grn goes to Grn-Wht then goes to intake air temp sensor (white connector at side of intake manifold)
Blk goes to Yel-Blk goes to ground
Blk goes to Org-Blk goes to A6 (heat control pin-out)
and this is optional, but you can wire up the secondary butterflies (iab's):
one is voltage signal, and the other is to A17 on the p13-ecu.
I just have mine hooked up to vacuum though.
