b16a2 by far everything bolts up
h22a need new mounts a lot of misc parts be prepared to spend $4000 on a swap

Its not the fact that there are actually more parts for the b16 just the fact that for each part there are different companies that make these parts, but who cares cause i can get anything i want for my h22, ie( intake manifold, TB, NIce headers, cams, gears, pistons, fuel rails, injectors, etc etc.)

ok so ive pretty much decided on the b16a2...how much would that swap cost for an auto to manual conversion, anyone know?? i will probably get it from osaka, which by the way does anyone know the total price inluding shipping for the b16a2?? and one more thing, is the b16a2 already OBDII?? thanks

U need complete b16 swap. (Axles, tranny, ecu motor).
What you probably will NOT get from a JDM shop are ( u need them to complete swap)
1. Shift linkage
2. Passenger side motor mount on the chasis. <--- Since you car is an auto, you need to remove passenger side mount and weld the "manual" mount

Auto to manual is pointless. Get a manual car, it'll save you tons of headaches. Not trying to offend you, but your asking which swap to go with, so I'm assuming you don't know much about doing this. If that's the case, the swap alone will be difficult enough for you. Adding the auto to manual converstion is going to be even more difficult. If you're going to go ahead with the swap, I'd suggest getting a manual car. Make it easy on yourself.

I like B series motors better than H series... H22's got a lot of torque but look fucked up sitting in a EK or EG engine bay... I'm glad you decided to go with the B16, build it up later on ... Peace

Just keep your car and do the swap..i was in the same position as you and went wiht the b16a2, im eventually goin turbo again(had sohc greddy kit on my last motor wiht auto. trans.). i just got my swap done this weekend and the auto-manual was no problem, i didn't have the time to do it myself but ive been reseaching the parts needed for awhile now. the guy who did the swap says its no problem and finshed my car my car in one day.(he normally works on rx7's and turbo nissan's, also owns an r32 and a cosmo)...
I paid the following for my swap:
2nd gen. b16a ~2100
misc. auto-manual parts~350
Labor to swap~700
so it costed me about 3200 for everything, compared to other prices in my area it was teh cheapest i could find...
