well i have an 00 si with h22 turbo setup and this car is slammed to the ground and i LOVE IT. i'm a big h22 fan though. I did not do the swap though so i cant say what it's like personally. my axels are custom and my suspension is a ground control with an integra spring rate and it's worked well for me[IMG][/IMG]

the forum is old so i apologize and the wheels are no longer the same but the car and setup is awsome, i absolutely love it. the one thing i'll admit that i dont like is that the car does not have ac and in ALABAMA that is a gotta have for me cause it gets hot in this car cause the motor does put off some extreme heat.

My son and I are swapping JDM H-22's w/ LSD's and their stock P-13 ECU's in his 96 EX Civic first, then my 00 Si Civic next. We ordered the complete swap parts for his first. $3100 delivered to Yuma, Az. Its on the garage floor ready to go. The Hasport mounts have instructions in the box as to whats required step by step. We're having Collective Racing in Tucson, Az make the wiring harness, so it will have all stock electronics. Once its done, and driven around for a week or so, we'll install headers, then dyno, also in Tucson. We'll take pics of the steps and post them. Hopefully we'll have it in and running by next Sunday. The cars are both Canary Yellow and look identical, cool for cruising together and car shows around here.

that's so badass!!! the dad and son builds are going to be sick!

it's tough to find reliable info on the H swap into any chassis. i used H-T as a main source of info and found about 50% of it was complete garbage. but hey.. whatever. it's in the car now and it was a piece of cake. honestly i would do another H swap in a heartbeat. it really was simple. everything just went together. i didn't buy a single coolant hose or vacuum line either. all of the stock 'teg stuff lines up. oh and btw... to completely get rid of any confusion... with DSS axles and Innovative Mounts i have no fitment issues and i DO have air conditioning, power steering, my stock GSR radiator (not the civic half rad crap ) etc etc. everything fits with plenty of room

most of the people that have axle problems mixed brands. you cant run avid mounts with hasport axles or vice versa. brands need to be matched.

Ah, Hey man,

You of all people should know most axle problems started going away when they started coming out with better mounts for H22 to civic swaps.

i know this is an old *** thread but im new and ive been to a lot of forums and not a lot of info and ish on h22s....i got an h22a in my 95 si hatch and the only problem ive had so far since tha swap was the knock sensor and ive seen sum post on this site bout the problems with them so im just gonna tune my ecu to bypass the **** to solve that problem...oh and my rear mount bolts stripped the **** outa the threads on the frame...but otherwise thats it....love the motor and i dont think ill go back to single again imo...

Next spring im dropping a h22 in my 96 hatchback because my dad had a 98 prelude and just sitting in the passenger side of the car you can fell the raw power and i hate reading all the blogs with the people saying a b18 can stomp a h22 because it all depends on the driver and what else you did to the engine and also a h22 swap is way less expensive as everyone says the engine itself will run you around 2000 or less mine was close to 2grand and if you can install it yourself then that saves you some more money so really a h22 and a b18 cost about the same so idk why people think there super expensive and crazy heavy because there not

Im running an f20b and after doing 3 swaps into MR2's and seeing K swaps done, H swaps are simple. Ya its a big motor but no its really not that hard to get it in.

Only problems I have had are the axles, ive broke one already and have another one going out now, Ive had no problems with the cable shifter but I was used to it already...

Biggest issue with putting one of these motors in is wiring, its not the easiest but its do-able.

Love the motor, no traction issues it hooks up on the street just fine. I can hang with the majority of the cars on the road and its definatly a quick car. It just needs a turbo
