Its throwing a code with the check engine light on but i don't have a obd1 scanner to find out what code its throwing. Also here is the other info i forgot to mention it earlier the vtec and vtec oil wire is not hooked up yet but i didn't think that might hinder it.

bump some help or some ideas all i can really think of for right now is that it is on limp mode because the vtec oil/ vtec hasn't been hooked up. If that im sure i could take care of it tomorrow.

Yea, is that thing reading correctly?

1) Hook up those wires!
2) You don't need a scanner if you're throwing a CEL. Jumped the pin connect under the right side of the dash, turn the key on, count the lights. 1 long 2 short is code 12, 3 long 6 short is 36, etc. Find out what it think the problem is and address it.

Wire up the missing stuff, and then see what codes it throws.

As people stated above check the codes, then tell us what they are, ur problem is probly giving u a code, so check em, u don't need a scanner.

Your problem is in your first picture, the one with the throttlebody. You have the vss plugged into the tps.you need to find a wiring schematic to wire this thing up properly.the plug for the tps looks like the one for the map sensor.

Problem is that it is not throwin a code anymore its a constant light on (no flash) it was but then stopped. If anything there was a guy on here doing the same thing and he said it could be on limp mode. Which it might since the wires haven't been hooked up. Believe me if it was flashing i would be counting right now but it ain't doing squat.

that is the tps sensor plug, the previous owner screwed it all up, your right the plug SHOULD look like the map sensor plug, but the dillhole decided to strip the outer aspect of the plug off so that it is just the internal main body so that he could just slip it on. He posted on here just to get some help from peeps that may have run into the same problem. The only reason he said something about an obd1 scanner is the simplicity of it. Not that he can't count the flashes, just that it would be easier to check things out. All he is askin for is some pointers that may be issues, not barkin about counting flashes, or connectors, yadda, yadda, yadda, I've already checked them all out, and they are right.

You need to jumper the service connector so it'll flash the codes. Otherwise it won't flash the codes, it'll just stay solid. Unless you're saying you jumped it and nothing but a solid light appears. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1171263

Yea, he doesn't have everything wired up yet, that's an issue. TPS voltage needs to be set at .50V. The ECU throwing codes is indicative of an issue. Maybe he's got the ECT and VTEC pressure switch crossed, easy to do as they both fit each other. That'll definately cause lots of problems AND throw codes. There's no point in chasing your tail around trying to guess what it may be when the ECU is going to tell you what some/all of the problems are.

He already said he's running a chipped P28, '94 CX, H22A.

Well the guy sold me the p28 w/uberdata but it wouldn't do anything. So we put my buddies p28 setup for a ls/vtec and man the car runs good but it backfires like crzy and just from the feel the fuel curves r wrong when it kicks in. I know p28 are p28 but the chips r what makes the difference. Believe me the wiring is fine all the codes are gone and everything is in workin order. It runs and drive just not safe with the ecu im running this is just temperaly use.
