H22 WITH P72 (GSR) ECU
IVE HEARD LOTS OF STORIES THAT A GSR P72 ECU WILL ADD SOME HP TO YOUR H22, FROM PEOPLE DOING IT AND WEBSITES.
I WAS CURIOUS IF ANYONE ON HERE HAS DONE IT AND CAN BACK THIS UP, OR KNOWS THE ANSWER WHY IT DOES...
THANKS

Maybe if the P72 was chipped, otherwise I don't see how you will gain hp at all. I would think you'd lose hp because of the different fuel maps, etc.

If you have figured out how to search other websites then the search option at the top of the page should help you out just fine. This topic has been cover a million times.

Re: H22 WITH P72 (HAccord96)
I have ran it and it doesnt feel stronger than the p13 at all. Matter of fact felt slower. The cam change really jacks up the power band, hell I lost to a basicly stock 5th gen prelude running the P72. As soon as the fuel maps changed for vtec to early (read the Import review article) he pulled about a car plus on me. Swaping back the p13 I killed him by about half a car. Also keep in mind the ecu is made for the smaller 270cc injectors of the b series where as the H's run something in the 300cc range. Could make for a very stong possiablity to run to lean and break something. All in all unless its chiped not worth it IMHO.
PS this has been covered before here @ HT search the archives of all the forums its been talked about in the accord, prelude, and hybrid forum in addition to others.
