Re: h22 ek vacuum problem (ejmotorfiend)
ok here is the deal. i'm trying to fix my vacuum lines on my ek. I do have a egr and the code does come one for it. but it idles high and rough and hell and seems like it skips. i got a map sensor to help it run a little better off of one of the vac lines on the IM. my thing is i do have a diagram from the prelude i did get it to idle right but it the throttle wont open up after 2 rpms.

if your vac is mess up your idle should be mess up also,i have the same problem before with the vac. and my idle was irratic and could not even reach redline....are you sure you wired the map sensor and other sensor correctly!! check that
with your vtec, check your wiring!!! make sure you hook up the knk sensor correctly, vtec solenoid, and evrything else!!!
give us more details!!

Re: h22 ek vacuum problem (ejmotorfiend)
i fixed the vacuum problem now she pers like a kitten. after setting all the right vacuum lines right i had to turn down the idler screw because it was still kinda loud, that took it down some more but the throttle cable was another problem. if i push it back it would go to where i wanted it to idle but as soon as i rev it, it would go back to where it was so what i did was take the butterfly set it to where i want it to idle and then that the plate that holds the cable where you can adjust the cable at bent that down a little and forward about 2 1/2 hairs then reved it to check and just kept movin it till it was right.
now all is that pesky check engine light for egr code 12
