EK22Tim, You're not the only one.
I got it to spin all the way to redline in 1st ONCE....felt VERY powerful. But since then, it won't do it, feels like it's just not as powerful as it should be.
My exhaust leak is really screwing me up
But then again, until today I've had it running on 87 octane

Re: (EK22Tim)
well my car feels pretty quick...I wouldn't call it fast though
I'm hoping to get my exhaust leak fixed today....and I'm almost done breaking the clutch in, so I'll find out soon enough

What octane gas are you guys running? I have yet to fill my tank up and I was always just running 87 octane.

yeah, when I took out the old engine, I had just filled up on 87..so I had to burn a whole tank before I could get some 93 in there.
From now on it'll be 93 all the time

how do you break in your quaife properly? don't you have to drive in circles for like a half hour? would'nt this cause your axles to bind or break?
just a dumbass try'n to get my understanding down on axles

Re: Re: (shepworldwide)
on the Quaife, I think you drive in a figure 8 for like half an hour, and then drain/replace the tranny fluid again.
It shouldn't cause the axles to bind or break....I can do a full lock Uturn and the axles don't bind/rub at all.

all of these guys have all kinds of motors in car and doing burnouts... I had a sohc 1.6 '89 crx NA and it would spin till revlimit in 1st and 2nd and a bit in third.
if i took off down the road and shifted @ revlimit i would break them loose for a good distance in second and chirp the tires pretty hard in 3rd. The problem isn't with how much power you guys have, but how much weight you have over the front wheels. but personally i think it is better not to break'em loose when you are taking off because that brings down your ET's.
