Help identifying D16Z6 Head!!

Help identifying D16Z6 Head!!(56K Warning) Try it anyway
I just bought his Head off of a Guy and I need to know if it is a D16Z6 Vtec head? Look at the pic. I myself isnt sure so I need your guys help!!

well it is definately a vtec sohc. so its either a y8 or z6. but i cant really tell without looking at the ports or the mani on it. but you should take a look at the side where the header goes and look for a year stamp. and if it is 92-92 then it is a z6 if not then its a y8.

take a closer shoot on the exhaust side so we can see the engine year stampings. that way we can vertify if it's a jdm d15 or d16z6. from the looks of it I say it's a 93-95 d16z6.

Can you take a picture of the combustion chambers for us (underside of head)?
The intake manifold is definitely a 92-5 Si/EX/ or VTi (which are all virtually the same).
Even if the head is a JDM D15/VTi head...its exactly like a D16Z6 head. I see P08 which is a VTi part number..
I don't think you should worry. From the looks of it so far, you got what you paid for.

This will give the clue to distinguish between the Z6 and Y8 immediately...Either way you got yourself a SOHC VTEC head...Rock and roll!
