Can i use the shifter from my eg with the h trans, or do i have to get the h or f shifter?

i have several times. i have the cables and the shifter box, just wanted to know if i could use my stock SHIFTER?

no. only the shift ****. the h shifter box is a complete assembly pretty much. you could try and find a forbidden motorsports shifter if you want it shorter.
