H22 in a civic with Hasport mounts?
Who here has an H22 in their civic using the Hasport mounts? I want to know what else is needed(eg.for the shifting, doesn't the prelude use cables?)I know that you use 90-93 teg axles with 90-93 accord half shaft, but what else? HOw's the wiring? Is it just like rewiring a gsr motor into a civic(I have experience with that)? Let me know...also, how much did you pay for it and where?

Whats up!! I have a H22 in my EG Civic. The Prelude does use shift cables so you can use 90and up Accord cables or 92 and up Prelude cables. You also need the shifter from the same car as the cables. What year is your car, bud? Than I can offer you a solution with the computer and wiring! I got my motor and tranny for a real good deal. I ended up paying $3000cdn for motor, tranny and ecu. Then you have to buy all the little extras!! Let me know what else you need to know. Oh yeah, check this link for pictures of my car with the H22!! http://216.149.197.219/dscr/ubb/Forum1/HTML/003518.html

Re: H22 in a civic with Hasport mounts? (LATERALUS)
Halo. I picked my motor up at Lucky Star in Toronto, Ontario!
Lateralus: I did sacrifice a little handling. It is approximately 80-90 lbs more than a Type R motor, which I had previously. The handling can be corrected greatly by using stiffer springs in the front. My next mods to help my handling are to get a carbon fibre hood, and to relocate the battery in the trunk. Other than that, I swear by this swap now. The only bid downfall that I can say about this swap is the fact that your oil pan is about an inch lower than your rad support!! OUCH!! Just be careful.

Wow...nice car man. I'm thinking of going h22a for my 98 EX coupe also. I figure the extra torque should make up for the heavier coupe. Dude, ur car is pretty low...and ur oil pan is still intact?

Yeah, I think I should raise it a bit. My exhaust manifold is now crimped in half. The car is lowered just a touch over 3 inches, probably a bit much for this swap!
