Axel combination for H22 Civic?
Has anyone found another axel combination to use with the H22 swap in a 92-95 Civic? I'm running the HASport mounts and the motor has been in the car about three months and already I'm getting axel knock. It only happens when cornering under acceleration. If anyone has heard of another combination besides the 90-93 Integra axels and 90-93 Accord center shaft, I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm using the Eibach Drag Launch Springs. Unfortanatley they have put the car a little too close to the ground from my liking.

Re: Axel combination for H22 Civic? (poison)
well i know an h22 in a teg sits about 2 inches lower than a b18 motor. but my friend did an h22 swap into a teg and he had to have custom axles made. he also used Place Racing Mounts cuz the HAsport mounts make the engine too close to the driver side.

Re: Axel combination for H22 Civic? (CR-X)
place racing motor mounts and DSS Stage 2 axles. no problems now(with axles) just some vibration around 30mph. i went through 3 sets of axles before DSS. and yes i was lowered about 2 1/4" at first, but then went up to 1.5" still broke axles if only now i could get rid of that vibration, the car feels so good when it doesn't show up(vibration)

Use integ axles, with the prelude inner cv joint on it. My friend car had that setup and he NEVER had a problem with anything. The reason people brake axles is because the angle from hub to tranny is too much. The axles should be as straight as possible. Usually a car that is dumped sucks anyway, the suspension isnt useful on the ground.
The first gen integ is a d engine. I dont think Honda intended for a sohc axle to go on an h22, what do you guys think? I think its retarded.

That's why that motor doesn't belong in the car to begin with. But it does run like a raped ape when it's in there.

-on my civic I was dumped to the ground...
-we cut the axles and re-welded them...
-no problems from cutting, but I wouldn't recommend it
-fastest track day I ran 15 times without anything breaking, went plenty of times to the track before that day also....
-just buy a "pre-made" one like others on here suggest...
