Default H series motor and the front motor mount

When swapping a H series in a hatch/del sol/civic you only use 3 motor mounts... The tranny side, rear, and drivers side. However, when honda designed the prelude they chose to use 4 motor mounts. Tranny side, rear, drivers, and a front mount as well.

I am having a custom manifold made for my turbo setup and the front motor mount is somewhat in the way. So I was wondering if any of you guys knew if it is ok to remove it or not. Personally, I do not think thats the best idea in the world due to the load that will be put on the other 3 mounts as well as having a motor that will have over 350 ft lbs of torque to the wheels.

I can have the manifold redesigned and go with a top mount turbo instead, but I am curious as to if it is ok to ditch the front motor mount on a 4th gen prelude.

Thanks.

The front mount is used mostly as a torgue mount. In Civic usually the mounts have urethane bushings so movement is less prone than in a lude or accord. If you are going to not use the mount then I would suggest upgrading the bushings in the other 3.. Otherwise that sucker is going to move..

We figured another way to get the manifold to work. Thanks for the replies.
