first, the distributor has nothing to do with vtec.

second, we need more background. what year car? motor? what wiring harness did you use? and did you run the wires for Vtec already?

ok i am useing the 99 sir ecu with the harness from the 99 4door the car runs perfect not even one code. and the car is reving past 8000rpm but the vtec doesnt ingage i tryed to unplug the vtec pressure switch and the solinoid and it through me the codes for those sensers. i cleard the codes and still not vtec. now the wire on the distributer is the blue one next to the black /yellow im not too sure but thats the ground and thats where you take the rpm signal from. now if the ecu doesnt read the rpm how is the vtec going to ingage??
thanks for the replys guys i hope you can halp me out i hate driving with no vtec

you just havent run the vtec wires
https://honda-tech.com/zerosearch

when you put a vtec engine in a non vtec car the wiring harness' are diffrent. you need to add 2 wires to control vtec. they will run from your SI harness through the firewall down to the ECU.
