i know someone who has a gsr tranny but they took the 4th and 5th gears out so they could put it in thier b16 tranny will my gears in my ls tranny work

um....then you'd pretty much have an ls tranny if u do that.

Not really. The third gear is shorter and all the gears will be shorter than a LS because of the 4.4 GSR final drive. LS=4.2

i have the option of puttin the gsr tranny in my car with the ls 4th and 5th gear or just going with a b16 tranny that is on a broke *** zc motor still in a hatch.... But with the gsr tranny i will have to replace the 4th and 5th But wit the b16 tranny just take it off the car and bolt it to mine i think im goin with it just lemme know what you think

I DIDN'T KNOW THAT B16 TRANNIES BOLTED UP TO ZC's. That sounds a little strange isn't the Zc like a brother to the D series engines

yea i found out that dude was full of **** and the tranny on the zc was a d series cuz thats what zc's are but i didnt find that out till sat night about 11 oclock after i got my tranny off and tried hookin his up '

thats jacked up! so you have a d series tranny that wont bolt up to your ls?

yea pretty much........ I just bought a b16 tranny but im gonna have to swap my car over to hydrolic so the tranny will work if anyone needs a zc tranny lemme know ill let this one go for 150
