GSR B18C Clicking noise
I have GSR motor swap into a civc and have not drive it for a year, now everytime i start the car theres a loud clicking noise coming from the engine. It will stop if i rev the engine a few time or after a few minutes of driving. Some people told me that because i dont have air condition, the A/C compressor is making the noise because its trying to run. Anyone have an idea?

Re: GSR B18C Clicking noise (street95civic)
if it was the AC the clicking would come from there, not the engine. I would say change the oil and see how that goes. I always use Gunk's Motor Flush before i change my oil, just helps to clean out everything. If that doesn't help you may need to have your valve clearences checked. Hope this helps you out

DONT NOT USE MOTOR FLUSHES EVER!!!!
This will damage your motor eventually. If you watch BestMotoring DVD VTEC club the guy from Spoon will tell you why. You loosen gunk that can get between bearings and throw off clearences on the motor.

If you've got gunk between your bearings, you've got bigger problems to worry about. I wouldn't use "flushes" for two reasons: 1. It may deteroriate the seals. 2. You can't ever get 100% of the "flush" out, so you'll always have "flush" left in the crankcase, at least, a little bit. It may cause harm over time. I guess DVDs is as just a good a source of reliable information as the 6 o'clock news, or the .... Internet! LOL. Hype.

I was poking fun because you used that DVD as your reference, as if its a bible. He might know a thing or two, but, if things aren't translated correctly, or repeated correctly as he said them, thats how the minow turns into a 6ft shark (fish story).

I'm thinking it could be the clutch because the shop put in a new clutch. it clicks when I step on the clutch or play around with it. It was swapped from an automatic stock civic to a manual GSR. It makes small clicks and then all of a sudden it makes one loud one like a bolt is being shot all over the place inside the motor or something like that.
