got fuel, got air...spark to start?
So now I'm at that tedious stage of trying to start my car (91 crx/b17). I'm using a 1st gen b16 distributor, and replaced the rotor/cap w/ that from a 91 Integra LS. Here is what I know: When the crank TDC mark is lined up, the dist. rotor is pointing to the #3 cyl (according to my wondermous Chiltons, and diagonally across from the "C" on the cap). When the UP marks are up and the side dash marks line up on the cam gears, the crank TDC appears off by maybe 2-3mm. Does this sound like it's in the correct order? Am I barking up the wrong tree?

To check to see if your motor is in time: The markings on the cam gears need to face eachother AND at the same time, the mark on the crank gear needs to line up with the mark on the block. Then you know your motor is in time.
